At Home Pedicure: Try Doing It Yourself

Pedicures have been shown, in a number of circles, to be good. Remove any nail polish with the help of a non-acetone polish remover (acetone is terrible for your health). Clip the nails on your toes straight across and use a nail file to file down any roughness. Try to soak your feet in a bath. Tey letting your feet stay in a tub filled with warm water for a few minutes. You can put things like lavender bath salts or other skin moisturizers and soothers. This makes your foot bath more relaxing and is a fantastic way to pamper your feet to help them feel better. You can obtain ingredients for your foot bath in virtually every store selling bath and body products. A few are pricier than others but pick the one you like the best.

Use a pumice to remove any rough spots or calluses that could still be left after the foot soak. Don’t use a callus shaver or something similar. A plain and good old pumice stone should suffice.

As soon as your feet are clean, without any calluses and moisturized, it is time to prep them to be pretty. This is really not an essential step, but knowing that your feet are attractive looking can help you feel better about the rest of you, even if you keep your feet closed into shoes throughout the day. Try using a cuticle pusher to work on your cuticles (the cuticle trimmers can cause cuts and other problems). Next, apply a base layer of nail strengthening polish. When that has had the time to dry properly, you cna put on whatever colors or designs that you prefer!

An at-home pedicure is usually more inexpensive than a professional pedicure and typically takes less time to complete. They’re good for the health of your whole body so get to work!
